great film about why we are currently at peak everything

...and why Capitalism needs to end NOW.

  1. Incredible. This one of the finest pieces of film-making and education I've seen on the problems the contemporary world faces. This should be required watching for all young people.

  2. Happy ending?

About your comment at the top, I'm not sure that any other system based on growth and waste will do any better than capitalism in the long run. What we need is a long-term preparatory vision for retrofitting the world, or at least our communities, toward a no-growth sustainability model. That needs to be in tandem with investment in technology, energy, etc. For one possibility, check out Jeremy Rifkin's Third Industrial Revolution. Distributed Power (energy) by and for the People!

    Thanks for posting

  3. While Americans love a happy ending, reality doesn't always have them.
