So I'm a little late to the table with this one, but I just learned about it now.

So first the context-- According to the Supreme Court, money is equal to free speech.

Public Citizen and the Story Of Stuff Project have teamed up today with a simple idea to protest this idea and get people thinking about how absurd that is:

Instead of using words, let's just use dollar signs to communicate!

It's genius. It doesn't actually SAY anything. Which I guess is really the point. Money isn't speech.

While this is a form of slacktivism, my hope is that it's a big first step for a lot of people who are only marginally aware of the issue.
